Haley's Heroes Foundation supports free childcare at the Annual Conference.
For Giving Tuesday 2024 we are asking for support for childcare at the Batten Disease Family Conference
Each year Haley's Heroes Foundation sponsors childcare for the Batten Disease Family Conference held in the summer. This year for Giving Tuesday we are raising funds to continue this sponsorship so families can attend the conference for learning and support. The conference hires care givers that are certified to attend to medically fragile children.
The Batten Disease Support and Research Association (BDSRA) Annual Family Conference is a gathering for families affected by Batten disease. The conference offers a supportive community, educational opportunities, and opportunities for siblings to connect with others.
Childcare is essential to the Annual Family Conference so parents can attend any and all the sessions they want knowing their children are in the hands of capable, understanding, and experienced providers. It's FREE and available for unaffected children aged 2-5 and affected individuals of all ages.
